MODERN TRENDS IN HUMAN LEUKEMIA AND CANCER

Registration is now CLOSED for the meeting. There is no registration fee, but unfortunately the number of participants is limited due to the capacity of the meeting hall. Registrations will be accepted primarily on a first-come, first serve basis. All participants (including speakers and invited chairs) are asked to fill out the registration form by April 30, 2010 (see form below).

Speakers and Chairs:

We kindly ask invited speakers and chairs to register, so that we have a record of your correct contact information. Please also provide us with your travel information, so that we can arrange transportation to Wilsede from Hamburg and your accommodations. We also ask speakers to provide a title and abstract for their talks, so that the final program can be made. Please use the format in our example (here). All invited speakers are asked to give a 20 min talk with 5 min discussion. We will have both Apple and PC computers available.

Stipend Applicants:

Young German and Eastern European scientists, clinicians, and students are encouraged to apply for a stipend, made available through the generous support of the Mildred Scheel Foundation. All applicants must submit an abstract with this registration form. Deadline is April 15, 2010. The successful applicants will be notified by April 30, 2010. British scientists / clinicians are eligible for travel grants from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Research Foundation. For information, please contact LLR directly (info@llresearch.org.uk). Successful stipend holders (including LLR) should provide us with your travel information (resubmit registration form), so that we can arrange transport from Hamburg to Wilsede and return, as well as your accommodation in Wilsede / Undeloh.

Other participants:

In addition to invited speakers, chairpersons, and stipend holders, a limited number of participants can be accommodated at the meeting, based on “first-come, first served” availability. Abstracts are welcomed (deadline April, 30). Please fill out the following form to register your interest to attend. We will confirm your registration as soon as possible. Registration will close on May 15 or before, depending on the number of requests. Please note, attendance is limited to two persons form one laboratory / department. There is no registration fee for academic participants.

Short Talks and Posters:

Short talks (10 min) will be selected from the submitted abstracts. The opportunity to present research or clinical results will also be provided in two poster sessions.

Travel Arrangement:

We need to know your exact travel plans to arrange transportation to Wilsede. Please send them to us before April 30th (just resend the form below, with the appropriate information). The closest airport is Hamburg-Fuhlsbuttel (HAM); the most convenient train station is Hamburg-Dammtor. In the past, we have met invited speakers at the airport or train stations – a tradition we will try to continue. We will gather at the Heinrich-Pette-Institut in Hamburg, from which buses will leave to Wilsede. If non-invited participants want to use this bus service, please let us know on your registration form (with approximate arrival times).

Accommodations:

Lodging arrangements for speakers, chairs, and stipend recipients will be made by the organizers. We kindly ask that other participants make their own hotel reservations (see links under Venue - Accommodations).
